About EMCO
EMCO Technologies is your go-to partner for controlling, monitoring and testing gases in production, packaging, manufacturing and laboratories.

What we do
EMCO is now in its fourth decade of researching and developing innovative solutions for the control and testing of gases. From EMCO's and our partners R&D laboratories and manufacturing sites in the UK, Germany, France, Mexico, Spain & USA, we continue to innovate and broaden our range of technologies.
Whilst our core business is focused toward the food industry, we also operate in the fields of life sciences, medical, pharmaceutical, hi-tech engineering, welding and aerospace.
Our partners in both R&D as well as manufacturing, have been carefully cultivated over many years. Our network is at the cutting edge of technology for controlling gases and this is demonstrated by our extensive range of products in both electronic control devices as well as our 'active packaging' (pack inclusion) technologies.
A large amount of our technologies are entirely unique and or custom created for our clients. Whatever your gas control need; EMCO has a solution.

Our Core team
Our UK, European and US team have decades of experience and knowledge, designing, building and and calibrating gas control instrumentation.

John founded EMCO over 30 years ago, drawing upon his experience in the food and agricultural industries. With a strong drive to transform product preservation and shelf life across these industries, he initially focused on developing active packaging solutions at a time when the technology was still emerging. After driving the company through its formative years and establishing a solid technical and commercial foundation, John has now transitioned away from day-to-day involvement. However, he continues to support the business through his strategic advice and extensive experience.
Jonathan has been closely involved in the business for over three decades and has played a key role in its development and growth. With extensive experience in gas analysis and packaging technology, he has led the expansion of the company’s product range and supported its evolution in response to changing industry demands. Jonathan continues to guide the business with a strong focus on technical excellence, customer relationships, and long-term stability.
David brings a steady hand and sharp financial insight to the team. With years of experience managing finances for growing businesses, he helps ensure the company remains stable, sustainable, and ready for long-term success.

Kevin brings over a decade of experience in technical sales, working closely with clients in the food and pharmaceutical sectors. As the main point of contact for UK customers, he combines deep product knowledge with a consultative approach to help clients find the right solution for their packaging needs. Professional, approachable, and results-driven, Kevin is committed to building lasting partnerships and delivering exceptional service.
As the youngest member of the leadership team, Alex brings fresh energy and a forward-thinking mindset to the business. With a natural knack for problem-solving and a hands-on approach, he plays a key role in modernising operations and driving the next chapter of the company’s growth.
